Lindsay and Andrew's story

Self storage units can help a family meet the needs of a busy life in many different ways. For Lindsay and Andrew, they were working near Newcastle when Andrew received an opportunity to work in New Zealand. With a young daughter, not yet at school, it seemed a great time to try a warmer climate and a completely new lifestyle. They jumped in with both feet and, while making plans to sell their home and their cars, started to make some bold decisions about many of their personal possessions.

While it wasn't too difficult to identify those things they could live without, other things, like their baby's nursery furniture, were too special to part with. So they looked for a cost-efficient self-storage arrangement to hold onto their treasured possessions or things which they saw as long-term investments.

As they lived in Gosforth, Hetton-le-Hole was not on their doorstep, but Parkgate was clearly the clean, secure and affordable choice. Andrew and Lindsey visited the site to take a good look at the storage units available, so they could accurately estimate what size of space would be most suitable for them. They finally chose a 100sqft self storage unit, which is approximately the same size as a small garage. They originally planned for a 75sqft space, but they chose a larger one on the day of moving in.

The height of the storage units means that with clever packing and stacking you can make the best use of a unit and get as much value for money as possible. It's worth following Andrew and Lindsey's example and taking the time to visit and view the options available to you.
